Close enough to arrive easily. Far enough to feel completely away. The whole journey from Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport to our gates takes about 45 minutes — short enough that guests landing in the morning are sipping a glass of estate wine by lunch.
By car
Driving is the simplest way to reach us. From Lisbon or the airport, follow the A8 motorway north and then a short stretch of quiet country road, winding between vineyards and olive trees, brings you to our gates. Set your navigation to “Quinta do Boiro” — we are in Pereiro de Palhacana, in the municipality of Alenquer. There is ample free parking inside the estate.
Tip: the last minutes of the drive are part of the arrival. Roll the windows down — the road narrows, the hills open up, and the countryside starts doing the welcoming before we do.
Transfers and taxis
For guests who prefer not to drive, private transfers and taxis run easily from Lisbon and the airport; ride-hailing apps also cover the route. For weddings and group events we can help coordinate shuttles so that guests staying in Alenquer and nearby move between the estate and their accommodation without a single set of car keys involved.
Arriving from further afield
Lisbon's airport connects directly with most major European cities and with the Americas, which is what makes a wedding weekend here realistic for international guests: land, drive 45 minutes, arrive. Coming from Porto or the Algarve, the A1 and A8 corridors both bring you within easy reach of Alenquer.
Good to know
Electric-vehicle chargers are available in the town of Alenquer, a few minutes from the estate. Supermarkets, pharmacies and cafés are equally close by. And if you want to arrive the scenic way, the region rewards a detour: medieval villages, hilltop views and some of Portugal's most characterful wine country lie along the back roads.
